BA. Marketing & Communication , and Illustration

Suyin has worked in every role the foundation has. She had been a Makerspace guide for kids in workshops and on our mobile makerspace bus, processed plastic to be recycled in every stage. And has been learning while working for Metabolic on science and machinery projects. While this is not her background she understands the standpoint of the kids and main public as she herself is constantly learning and working on understanding technical and environmental issues the scientists and engineers she works with present. She hopes to be the bridge through her graphic design, illustration and communications. Which will be her role also within the Surfside Science project. Suyin grew up in Oranjestad right in the middle of urban Aruba. While leaving to the Netherlands to further her studies in International Communications and after that the Art Academie De Kooning both in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. She knew to never again take the white beaches and dunes, breeze and sun for granted. Even though she has a deep and eternal love for arts and culture, nothing can quite get you out of your head like a day in the mondi or on the beach. As she puts it,

“Sunsets reveal, Saltwater heals”
